Homophobia is considered as the major cause for this suicidal tendency. The rising cases of vocal abuse and physical harassment on gay people make him more helpless. This leads them to depression state of mind.



They even hesitate to go to the public places to spend time with their partners. The emotional hurt and distress provokes them to take such extreme steps because they find no alternate ways to cope with the depression.
