We can now start linking obesity fears to depression. Many Chinese teens even if they were normal or underweight fear and think themselves to be fat. And this is again risking them for depression and school-related stress, a new USC study has found.

Study of nearly 7,000 middle- and high-school students in seven Chinese cities revealed that girls who claim themselves to be overweight, reported an overall grade point average of 3.06 versus 3.20 for other girls. And boys who felt themselves to be obese reported being more prone to rudeness and losing their tempers! The March issue of the American Journal of Health Behavior reported the study.
