Depression to those patients who have sustained heart attack may prove worst then the people who have never passed through such situation. This thought was given vent to by Dr. Susmita Prashar of the Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta.
She revealed, after studying about 1,873 patients, that most of those who had sustained heart strokes were engulfed by depression. Where some patients passed through the phase of depression for a very short time, on the other hand, depression became regular crony of some of the patients. She further revealed that those patients who were engulfed by depression for a much longer time their health broke down desperately.
A big percentage of such patients were re-hospitalized, some of them passed away or suffered from other kinds of health problems.
So if you or any of your relative is in depression after heart attack convince him to consult an appropriate doctor as soon as possible in order to come out to drink life to its lees.
